It truly takes a mess of a person
To love their fear

If you threw me in a pool
I would sink to the bottom

If you threw me in the ocean
I would get lost in the current

Yet somehow I still continue
To sit along the shoreline

Letting the waves crash but to my knees
Feeling amazed by the movement of the water

And never being a part of it
